The Leopard Man

In the article The Leopard Man, by Logan Feys there are many strong arguments that he makes.  In his article he says, “Society tends to discourage people from expressing their unique ideas and behaving in ways that are different from their peers.”  With this he means that society desists people from being different and from being themselves.  Instead of them being themselves they do what their cohorts do or tell them to do.  Feys thinks that The Leopard Man is no ordinary freak that he is unique and doesn’t depend on any ones opinion. I agree with Feys’s argument.
I agree with him because he is right about society desisting people from being unique.  These is the reason everyone dresses, talks, and walk the same.  Back then Everyone would be unique and were themselves; however, now everyone does what they are being told. There are times when people go to far; consequently, they go too far and end up hurting themselves.  It is sad to see everything that one person does just to get attention.  Also to see how their cohorts or people they think are their cohorts debunk them.  Just because they are being themselves or trying to be themselves.
Feys says, “Such people are desperate for society’s attention. Having failed to attract it in a positive form, they go for shock value.”  There are times of when people try to get someones attention by doing several of things.  For example being mean to the person they care about.  These reminds me of the movie girl in progress.  The main character did the following: steals from her mom, calls her best friend names, makes fun of her, and lots of other bad things.  She does all of these things to fit in and get attention from her mom; however, she didn’t need to do all of those bad things.
In conclusion, I agree with Feys with several thing; however, I don’t agree with him with a couple of his arguments.  I don’t agree that is society's fault  of people being the way they are, because everyone has and gets the right to choose what to do and what not to do.  It also depends on us if whether we listen them or not.  Everyone should just try to be themselves once in a while it won’t kill or hurt anyone at all.  Always remember that is your choice, so choose right.

Five Things You Can Do To Succeed In Life

Five Things You Can Do To Succeed In Life
  1. Don’t give up.  Whenever you think you can not solve your conflicts and there is no way out, don’t give up instead give it a try.  If you are stuck with a conflict don’t freak out take your time, think about it, and try to solve it.  Whenever you feel like you can anymore try a different method, but do not give up. There are no excuses to give up, because there is always a way out. Diggy said,” The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead”.  There is always a way out, even though it seems like if there is not.
  2. Set your goals.  Anytime you think that there is no point of living set yourself goals.  Start with smaller goals, than head on to bigger goals.  Whenever  you accomplish one of them try a challenging on.  Try to have challenging goals and see what is your limit.  Ayn Rand saidThe question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.”  keep on going until you react and accomplish your dreams or goals.
  3. Be positive.  Anytime you try to do something and someone puts you down don’t let them, instead ignore them and whatever they say.  If you want to try something new just try it don’t let any words stop you from your goals.  Whenever someone tells you that you can not do something, prove them wrong.  Never put your head down keep it up and high.
  4. Be happy.  Every day that you wake up smile, why because you can.  Whenever someone debunks you don’t get upset, instead tell them something nice show that person that no matter what they say or do will matter to you.  Do not let someone ruin your they so they could make theirs.
Don’t look back.  Once you succeed with something set a new goal give yourself a new reason to live.  If you fail on something do not look back instead keep your head up and live whatever is in the past alone.  You should look to the future and the present.  If you look back to the past it will just keep you from doing better and fixing your mistakes.

My favorite mistake

On a beautiful sunny Saturday, there were many exciting things going to happen.  Every year on July the fair arrives at the Santa Maria fair park.  The fair stays in Santa Maria for half a week.  My friends and I had been taking and planning of going on a Saturday.  For the whole moth I was in my best behavior.  My friends where going to go just one day; however, I was going to go for two days.
Finally, the Saturday that everyone had been waiting for arrived.   The day of the fair I woke up earl to do all my chores.  It was really weird for my parents for me to wake up early, because and really lazy.  After I was done with all my chores I asked my dad, “dad at what time can I go to the fair”.
He responded, “When my sister comes you will be able to go, but you are going to be with her the whole day”.
I said, “Why! I don’t want to go with her”.
He said, “I don’t care, you will go with her because I say so!”
I was really sad and angry, but there was nothing I could do about it.  I just waited for her in the living room.  After a half an hour passed I heard a knock on the door.  It was my mom’s sister.  She saw that I was mad.
She asked me, “Why are you mad? What’s wrong?
I responded, “My dad won’t let me go to the fair by mi self”.
She just said “oh” and left.
When my dad passed by me again I kept on arguing with him.  I was really angry and frustrated that I had to go with my dad’s sister.  My dad was a little ornery and had no patience for anything or anyone.  Even though I knew he was ornery I still manage to argue with him.  The reason for that is because he easily most of the time will say yes.  Unlucky for me he said no but he also say,  “you cannot go with your mom’s sister or alone in fact you are not going at all today.”
I was really furious and I wanted to be left alone. My mom’s sister came back, and again she ask me what was wrong.
I told her, “Now my dad won’t let me go to the fair at all”.
She said, “Don’t worry you will get to go next time.”
Angrily and frustrated I said, ”You are telling me not to worry and that I will probably go next time! How do you know he will let me go next time anyways you don’t even know about fun I bet you don’t even have friends”.
Without even knowing I told her off, but I all was an accident.  Unlucky my dad had heard the whole conversation and my aunt let crying.  At that time I under stood that shouldn’t put my anger on others, because by doing that I would not change anything I will make things worse and all my aunt was trying to do is to cheer me up so I wouldn’t be angry.

Final draft Antigone

In Antigone, by Sophocles Antigone and Creon are the two main characters.  Antigone is the first main character, she has several of conflicts that lead to her death.  On the other hand Creon is the second main character he also has conflicts; however, his conflicts don't lead to his death it leads to the death of the two persons he cares about.  These two characters have different conflicts, also they have some similar ones.
There are many differences between Antigone and Creon.  Antigone is very loyal to her family.  She says, "my brother too"(2.23).  This means that no matter what Polynisis did he still is her brother.  The same way she is loyal to her family that is how loyal she is to the gods.  She tells Creon, "which of us can say the gods hold wicked"(2.131).  This means that no one can be more powerful than the gods.  Mean while Antigone is loyal to her family and to the gods, Creon is loyal to the state.  Creon says, "Governor who is afraid for whatever reason, to follow the course that he knows is the best for the states"(1.24-25).  By this he means that he is the best one for the job and that he knows what's best for the state.  Creon is not as loyal to his family as he is to the state.  He says, "An enemy is an enemy even dead".  To Creon it doesn't matter who it is or what they did if they are enemies to the state they are to be punished.
Mean while Antigone and Creon have many differences, they also have similarities.  Their main similarity  that they both have in common is pride.  Both of them are very prideful.  Antigone says, "Creon is not strong enough to stand in my way"(prologue.36).  In the prologue when  she is talking to her sister she tells her that Creon won't stop her from giving her brother the right burial.  She also means  that she is not afraid of him and the consequences she receive for burring Polynisis.  On the other hand Creon is also prideful.  He says, "whatever you say you will not change my will"(5.74).  In the scene five he says that no matter what people say that will not change his mind.  Whatever he says is his last word and that is what is going to be done.
Antigone and Creon both deserve some of the blame for the tragic outcome.  Antigone deserves some of the blame because she tried to overpower Creon's law no matter what the consequences that eventually were going to lead to her committing suicide.  Creon is the one that deserves most of the blame because he tried to overpower the gods law.  Also he let his son go mad; therefore, his son accidently killed himself and his wife also committed suicide.
